Security wait time at LHR

DW is flying to Dubai on the 10pm ish flight next. Thursday evening does anyone know how long we need to allow for security ?

We flew to Orlando from LHR yesterday, we allowed extra time as I couldn�t check in online but we were checked in within 15 mins and literally straight through security. Don�t know if we were just lucky as we also went right through MCO immigration, it couldn�t really have been any smoother.

We were there last week and were through in 10 mins

Never taken longer than 10 mins any time we have been through.

We went through on Sunday and were through in about 10 minutes. This was probably at about 12 noon.

We were at terminal 2 on Wednesday morning & were through within 10-15 minutes

We flew from terminal 3 2 weeks ago . We were 15mins . Coming back yesterday . We were waiting 20 mins for luggage longer than it took us to go through passport control /customs .

We were there at 8am on Saturday (14th) through in 20 mins.
We did bag drop the night before T3. Brilliant, saved checking in the next morning.

I think I must have been unlucky at Heathrow recently! Flew to LA on Monday 25 April and check in took 40 mins (in the premium line - couldn't do it online as partner selected for extra security) and then security line was huge... Took 10 mins of walking to find the end of the line! Actually moved quicker than it looked like it would and we were through in just over an hour. They were pulling people out of line whose flights were about to board.

Then we flew back yesterday and had a 20 min line for passports as we were first off the plane but then an hour's wait for bags and ours were within the first few batches unloaded. Then there was a half hour wait for the long stay car park shuttle bus that is supposed to come every 10 mins!

I think it probably depends how many staff they have off sick at that time, as well as the number of flights that go at that time of day. We were probably unlucky on both counts!
