New York, cruise from Miami and where?

Need inspiration 🙈 due to next year being daughters GCSE year and starting college we are planning on having one big 3-4 week holiday in summer rather than our usual Easter and October trips. This needs to include 5 days in New York - son and partners choice and 5 night disney cruise from Miami mine and daughters choice. Any ideas for the other 14 days? what would you do?

Been thinking of flying down to Florida from New York and having two weeks there but having recently returned from a 2 wk Easter full on park trip don’t know if we should try something else!

Anyone drove from New York? Or any other recommended destinations to add into the trip?

You could drive down to Miami from New York. We did this years ago and stopped in Washington DC, Asheville, Gatlinburg, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans and then across the coast of Alabama into Florida. If that sounds like too much (it probably would be for 14 days - we had longer!) then you could just follow the East coast down and stop at places like Wilmington NC, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah and then into Florida where you could do St Augustine, Cocoa Beach etc.

What about Toronto and Niagara Falls before New York? We did this last October, flew to Toronto and hired a car to drive to Niagara.

Definitely squeeze in a long weekend in Bermuda when in NYC - cheap Jet Blue flight and you'd be in your hotel before lunch.

How about spending some time at Anna Maria Island Florida

If I had this opportunity, I would fly to NYC for 5 days and then fly to Tampa, rent a car at the airport and drive to Anna Maria Island for 5 days, then drive to Miami and return the car/cruise, and fly back from Miami. Perfect. And thank you for the idea, as I may put this combination on my "to do" list!
