Hi,

What's the situation with sharks and jellyfish here?

We have a young lad (son's friend) coming with us and he's never been to the US before. Wants to have more than the parks. Thought we'd try the beach and hopefully catch a rocket launch. We've not seen a launch. How do you find out when there's going to be one?

We we're there mothers day a week and a bit ago.

We didnt notice any jellies at all, we were in the swimming area near the lifeguard thought.

I know there have been shark attacks there this year.

We are planning a trip to cocoa beach too..

Everyone says to park on Lori Wilson car park as it’s free and next to a nice section of the beach ..

I have seen some photos of sharks there but not sure on the jellies . I’m hoping no sharks as my kids don’t even like small fish or crabs 🤣

We watched a launch from near Cocoa Beach Pier recently, there was a decent crowd of people there, someone came up to me and asked if it was a manned launch as there were so many people there (it wasn't, it was Starlink satellites)
It's still a fair distance from there, you have to keep your eye out for it going up as you won't hear it for a good 20-30 seconds and it'll be really high by then
