Alton Towers fast pass options

We are going to AT in a few weeks. Have to go on a Saturday because it’s the only day all 4 are able to go. I did want to stay in a hotel but prices have gone silly.

Could I ask, do people buy fast passes and which one ? Are they worth it ? Are they essential ? I don’t have much patience

We have been given the entry tickets so nothing to pay for entry.

Thank you.

If you live miles away and this is your only visit then I would consider fast track. Queues can average 60 minutes on a Saturday.

Fast track gold for £65 gets you on all the top rides and is probably the one to go for if you are willing to pay this.

Unlike Disney, fast track tickets are limited and you will get straight on the rides without any significant wait.

Also get there early ideally by 9am to allow you to park and get to the turnstiles.

Premium parking is worth paying too as it means you avoid the monorail queues

Thank you. It will take about 2 hours to get there so we will aim for 9am. I don’t normally bother with paid extras but it does seem the fast passes and the premium parking may be worth it because I am expecting it to be really busy. If we are parked near the entrance I will be able to nip back to collect our lunch too which is a bonus. I don’t go on too many rides, I’m more a bag and coat carrier !
Alton Towers is such a pain to get to, that’s why we don’t go very often.

Thanks again.
