Are parks still quiet in the evening?

I’m still weighing up buying Genie+… if I go to the parks in the evening, is it still quiet so you can jump on most attractions? No kids so thinking this might be a better option?

Also- with the 7 and 14 day tickets sold through Disney currently, I know you can’t park hop anymore but if you wanted to leave a park to go for dinner, say you went to MK and had a dinner reservation at Ohana- can you re enter the MK in the eve please?

Thanks!

Parks are busy from opening to close, it will possibly be slightly quieter in the evenings you will hardly ever be able to jump on rides you will have to queue for everything, good time to ride is when there is parades or the fire works that reduces your wait.

You can park hop still, but only after 2pm. You must go to your reserved park first, even if it's just to tap in if you decided not to go that day.

We’ve just got back and there wasn’t really any quiet times with the exception of Animal Kingdom. 100% recommend doing it later in the day as with it closing earlier and having no evening show, everyone leaves at 2 to park hop elsewhere. We walked on everything except the rides in Pandora which we didn’t bother with but they were still only around 25 mins for the boat ride and 45 for FOP. Lines tend to go down just before or during Enchantment at MK as well.

We did evening at Animal Kingdom last week and got on Flight of Passage, Safari and Everest. All within a couple of hours without Genie + which I refuse to pay extra for.
We also got on Rise of the resistance one evening with only a 20 min wait, although wait time was showing 65mins

Depends on the park is what I'm hearing a lot of from Vloggers.

Apparently Animal Kingdom is dead of an evening - maybe a lot of people are park hopping over to other parks for fireworks etc.

I've also heard that evening might be best for Star Wars related activities, such as a drink or to at the Cantina over at DHS.

Which is about right typically - DHS and DAK were always quieter after dark compared to MK and Epcot.

Edited at 01:16 PM.

Ahh brilliant! Thank you so much for your helpful responses! I’m thinking I might just pay for Genie+ on a couple of days to test it out and then not worry on others

We found MK much quieter about an hour after fireworks on the evenings that it was open until 11 in March. It was mostly just groups of Spring Breakers left standing by then.

It'll be 'quieter' in the evenings but not 'quiet'. Don't expect to be able to simply jump on the popular attractions.

So, for example, here were the posted wait times for FOP for Monday just gone:

The wait time starts low when the park first opens but quickly increases to 75mins. Then it rises to around 2 hours from 9am until about 4pm. Then it drops to around 80 mins and finally to 1 hour in the last hour or two. So it is quieter in those final couple of hours compared to mid-morning through to mid-afternoon.

You can park hop with the 7-day and 14-day tickets. So you can visit Epcot in the morning and then visit MK in the afternoon after 2pm or in the evening.

You can also visit MK in the morning, leave the park for a while, then return to MK in the evening.
