Glad your travel day went well. Great that your first flight landed early and saved you any hassle.
The food a BJs looked good. I’ve got that on my summer list. Shame about the wait, there’s nothing worse after a long travel day when you are shattered and hungry.

It’s open seating in the bar area - I realise that doesn’t work for those with children, but we bypassed the line each time by doing that.

I'm a reader and ashamed to say I have a lack in commenting 😳 but I really felt the need to say that your trip reports are amazing, not only do you take the time to write them while you are away but you also give so much detail, which I am sure is extremely useful to so many.
I hope you soon get over your fatigue, darned Covid recovery and jet lag is not a good mix. Love that you tell your trip exactly how it is, warts and all, we all go through it, especially travel days when there is a big mix of emotions running through everyone, you had a great travel day though and survived it well 😀 Wish you and your lovely family fantastic days ahead of you x

So pleased that your travel day went smoothly. We have never gone indirect as I am such a worrier.
That pizza looks yummy too. As does the boneless chicken wings. |

I love your trip reports and look forward to reading them each day. I also love your travel bag! I must also have read the same thread as you and had been looking at the backpacks, but I think you’ve changed my mind to the ‘Jenni’
Hope you all have a fantastic well deserved holiday x |

Yay, I love reading a travel day! And what a great day, even with the early start. But you have made it and had a tasty dinner too.

Just catching up on this when you say it took 40 minutes for customs you mean both customs and immigration. That's great timing. I do like chicago been through it a few times myself. Just noticed you also have the same luggage ribbons as us. I got them for our 2012 holiday and they are still on the cases Also stayed many times on I-drive. Ah the nostalgia. Like I said on your pree-trip it's so nice not to have to visit the corona pages on the forum and just look at fun trip reports.
