Center parcs - Sherwood Vs Whinfell

We love center parcs and have been to Sherwood twice and Elveden twice. Going to do a last minute 3 night break in the next few weeks and was thinking Sherwood as we are in Manchester so not too far for only 3 nights but DH said he'd like to try whinfell. I was going to save whinfell for if we ever do a winter trip as i've heard alot is undercover. What does everyone think of whinfell ? Or is Sherwood nicer in the spring / summer with the village square being outside?

Also, anyone know what activity availability is like a week or so before you go (in term time). Only ever been in the school hols and always booked activities as soon as they come out.

I've been to both. I would agree that with the village being outdoors at sherwood it is nicer in a way during warmer weather, although we did Whinfell in May and didn't really think the indoor village was a disadvantage to us in any way. We did find Whinfell considerably cheaper when we went and could get a much better standard of accommodation so that might help sway your decision if that is the case still.

Thank you was going to book whinfell but Sherwood's price dropped by £100 so booked there instead. Fingers crossed for good weather (despite going on Friday 13th May and staying in Maple 13!)
