Best Alligator park?

Like the title says… what is the best Alligator park/experience?

I’m sure I read that one of the parks was not a nice experience as there was so many alligators in small enclosures etc.

Im currently looking at Wild Florida 😊

Wild florida is the only gator park I have done - we got a groupon deal and thought it was good value.

We were told that the gators there are rescue ones - ones that have been fed in natural waterways and then pose a danger, so they are removed.

We got some food in with our groupon deal, but you can buy gator pellets and feed them in a large lake - there are hundreds. They also do a show - the gators are free not to perform if they want, so I found it to be ok with my animal ethic hat on!

There are other things there too - tortoises, some big cats, snakes etc

You do need a car to get there - its a bit off the beaten track

We did the north shore Lake Apopka wildlife drive on Sunday for the first time ever and it was fabulous! Saw so much wildlife in it's natural habitat it far exceeded our expectations. In fact it deserves a thread all of it's own with some of our photos which I'll do probably at the weekend so do look out for it. You will need a car to get there and it's only open at weekends, but it's completely free.

Likewise with your Lake Apopa, but in our case the Tamiami Causeway. 4 days ago, we stopped in a lay-by and saw 4 within 5 minutes. Biggest was around 7-8’ and the other 3 would have been all over 5’. We were within 25’ of each of them. There are clearly an awful lot of them if we saw 4 in such a short time.

If you want to see Alligators, then I would always seek wild ones… (but on my terms). I was never a fan of Zoos!

Amazing pics! It's our must visit place everytime we go to Florida. I look forward to it more than anywhere, including Disney!

I’m planning on lake apopka when we go in July. Still blows my mind that gators just roam wild over there.
