Las Vegas and WDW - Day 2 - April 22nd 2022

Woke up at 9.45 - so good after such a late night! It was a bit cloudy and cold though this morning, and raining a little bit so dressed in layers before setting off.
We walked up to the Venetian to go for breakfast at Canyon Ranch Grill in the Palazzo section. This is two of our breakfasts; avocado toast and goat cheese and vegetables egg white omelette.

Afterwards we went back to The Strat to try for Skyjump - we weren't surprised to find it wasn't running again due to weather conditions but asked them to message us if it did open again today.
We went outside to wait for the Hop-on-Hop-off bus as we had tickets included with our GoCity passes.

The bus took us down to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign where we hopped off to get photos.

We got back on the bus, as it drove up the strip we passed some of the other hotels including Excalibur and Luxor. As we reached NYNY we saw that the Big Apple rollercoaster was running so DS and I got off to ride it - such fun, but no match for anything in Orlando!
While we were in the queue to ride we had the message that Skyjump was back up and running!
We started walking up and then caught the first Deuce bus that we saw to get up to The Strat.
After checking in we had about a half hour wait, I guess there were lots of people whose jump had been delayed.
We got kitted up downstairs and then escorted up to floor 108 2 at a time. This was me pre-jump, I was histerically nervous, I made some joke about 'hey macarena' at this point but the guy wasn't impressed as you can see!

Once we got to the top we were both getting so nervous, I could see the guy from the previous group getting ready in the cage area you jump from and he looked terrified. Finally the time came! After the initial scare of jumping off it was pretty relaxing and the view was great!

We finished up at about 6.30pm and got the Deuce bus back down to Caesars Palace to get ready for dinner.
We had a reservation at Water Grill which was within the Caesars Palace forum shops.

It was so pretty, and the staff were really lovely and knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer. I had the grilled sea bream and a margarita, both were excellent.

We should have stayed for another drink there but wanted to try out Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, so we queued for a table. It then turned out that they had ran out of one of the ingredients for the best looking cocktail on the menu so gave up.
We went back to the rooms and video called our family in Australia as it was my gran's sister's birthday.

Wow - so brave! I’m not even sure I can go to the bar on the 108th floor, never mind jump off! Well done
Sounds like a great day. Do you mind me asking what the prices were like at the Water Grille? Looks lovely and I’m currently planning a trip for February

Have an amazing trip!
They have their menus online - watergrill/vegas#MENUS
We thought the prices were pretty standard for an upmarket feeling dinner in Las Vegas, perhaps comparable with The Boathouse or Paddlefish in Disney Springs? My Sea Bream was one of the catch of the day, they weighed about 1.1lb so was just under $40.

There's no way I'd be able to do that jump! I would manage the marg and the fish after though

Great photos of the welcome to Vegas sign and a fun day.
