Recent Gatwick Experience
Hi everyone, anyone who’s flown through Gatwick recently - where’s open to eat the night before travel? Obviously before security and in either north or south terminal. I know for a while nothing much was open, is this still the case or are there restaurants back up and running again?

Nah I think it’s only giraffe and perhaps a pub?
We booked Vanda in our hotel as just seemed better than what I’d heard about Giraffe lately. |

Giraffe was ok, just had a limited menu. We stayed in the bloc next door.

We’ve eaten at the Nicholas Culpepper in the North Terminal, really lovely food and we had great service.
I’m not sure what time they close at in the evenings though |

No there is not much open these days still. There is somewhere next door to Giraffe that looked ok for something quick like a toasted sandwich, the pub I saw was closed. I went to Giraffe, definitely operating below par, I reviewed it here.

The pub next to giraffe is not reopening, the map of the terminal says something along line of a new food outlet opening later in 2022. We not decided what to do-staying at premier inn, might go to the on-site restaurant, or maybe get stuff from M&S food or could use Uber eats I surpose as well.

Not recent but we always eat in rhe PI Thyme restaurants. The meal deal including free breakfast is good.
Worth booking a table as they can get busy.

I'm going to Madeira next month, flying from Gatwick. I'm staying at the North Terminal Premier Inn the night before and have booked their dinner and breakfast meal deal.
