Gulf coast
Going back to Florida for sept but as we did Disney in may we will give it a miss. We do have remainder of our universal tickets so was thinking of having the first 2 days and the last 2 days of our 14 day trip at universal hotel.
The other 10 days was thinking of going to the gulf coast but didn't really want just a hotel room but would rather be in a condo or similar with communal pool like you can get near to the parks Are these actually called condos and can anyone recommend an area and a place to stay. Will be 2 adults and will have a car

VRBO, airbnb & holiday lettings will be your friends in finding a condo. We have stayed at Anna Maria Island, Naples and St Petes Beach and would recommend them them all.
This is where we stayed for 5 nights just before Christmas. Has 2 pools, the beach is across the road and less than a 10 minute walk to Bridge Street vrbo/1626279?noDates...unitId=2187602 Edited at 01:42 PM. |

A good one is Lely in Naples and rent one with Players Club access. Players Club is extremely nice, one of the nicest I have been to.
playersclubandspa/ Indian Shores is nice, we stay in a nice little complex there.

We used to stay In Sarasota many many years ago before it got really popular and trendy . So many areas to choose from depends what you like to do . Not beach people ourselves have enjoyed Springhill were weeki wachee is . Used it as a base to go to various state parks Sejm with manatees go to where the sponge boats are . Nowhere that far away . Used the state road to Tampa it was so quick worth the tolls . Did various bits around there . Couple man made beaches near spring hill we used and had dolphins coming into shire . Usually book through VRBO bug mostly used to use same villas in Orlando and spring hill . Like recommendations about hotels etc from
People who have used them . We had relatives that stayed englewood /rotunda so explored from there as well .

We stayed at Barefoot Beach Resort in Indian Shores back in 2014. Not sure if it’s changed much but it was lovely then.
We had a two bed condo, a bit dated but clean and suited us perfectly. There was a communal pool overlooking the intracoastal waterway and the beach was just across the road. We were there in August and neither the pool or the beach were ever busy. I’d love to go back.
