(Another) Genie+ question
I’m starting to form a plan for our 5 days onsite at Disney in August.
As we’re staying onsite and will be booking ILLs at 7am, are we likely to get slots in the morning/early afternoon? The plan is to hit the parks early, back to hotel for pool time then put for dinner at 7ish. What happens if the only ILL I get offered for e.g. ROTR is at the same time as a dinner reservation? Presumably if I cancel the dinner reservation on the same day I would get charged? Obviously I want to book my ADRs as soon as I can to get the restaurants we want, but then I’m aware that Genie+ and ILLs could completely upset these reservations. Help!

I don't know the answer for definite, but I would probably visit guest services at the park to show them the overlap and see if they could change your ILL time. I know that people have reported getting times much later than the ones they chose between selecting them and checking out, and have had success asking for them to be changed if they clash with other plans.

Thanks loves2plan.
It’s all a bit overwhelming now, trying to do Disney planning. I may have to learn how to (sharp intake of breath!) go with the flow a bit this time 😂

You can choose your paid for ILL time unlike Genie Plus attractions. There have been stories of the system not quite giving you the time you asked for once you get to the payment part, sometimes a little later sometimes a lot later. But for paid for rides you should hopefully be able to select a time that doesn’t clash.
CMs have been noted as quite good at sorting it for you if you get stung by the system, ie booked a 12 o’clock ILL and ended up with a 5:30pm one which clashes with your dinner plans. I think this will vary based on the ride. Rise seems to be the trickiest one and a “grab whatever you can get” situation, whereas 7DMT seems to be easing up, likewise Remys (which is about to be removed and replaced with Guardians).
