Oh no hope the weather improves! We also plan our dining around the entertainment. Hopefully as a solo they will have more wiggle room to move you.
The only time we've ever had fixed dining was on an MSC cruise and they gave us 5.30pm! Way too early, we only went twice on a 5 night cruise, although that also had something to do with the food being terrible in the MDR. |

You should be able to put your dining preference in before you go, you won't be guaranteed but you can say what you want. We did beforehand and were allocated anytime, and that was on a full capacity cruise.

We were saver and requested
Freedom dining and got it. We also prebooked the train but we met people who just got off early and bought tickets in the morning. I wouldn’t book the excursion. It’s literally a 2 minute walk from the boat. There were people complaining when we got back on that they had paid twice as much for nothing extra. And those of us who’d booked independently had better seats as we got to board first. Edited at 08:01 AM. |

On the azura there are two rooms for dinner that are freedom and one that is allocated a time. We got lucky and just got a freedom one so least you’ve got more chance of getting the freedom one as they use more rooms. Didn’t use to be like this a few years ago.

I booked directly yes. Think it cost £52 for my slot though, different times did seem to be different prices

Thanks all, I've been online and it says if I had booked an early saver fare I could have made a request, but I'm not allowed to as I only booked it 4 weeks ago. I'm defo going to go as soon as on board, plus to see if there are any discounts on Sindhu/Epicurean for first night
