Autumn

I think Autumn is my favourite season. Spring is ok, but I get too hot in summer and winter always disappoints as I look forward to snow which we rarely get! Whereas we got married in October nearly 32 years ago, had one of my children 24 years ago and have moved to my 2 favourite houses in October. Woke up this morning to these beautiful views that I am so lucky to have.
Think today will be a good one😉, what is your favourite time of year?

Autumn is definitely my favourite, then winter, then spring and then summer for me.

I just love everything about Autumn, the crisp leaves, that sort of frostiness in the air as we get closer to winter, the smell of the damp leaves and grass from the rain. I love coming home and closing the curtains and lighting the candles. I love those rainy days where the rain just pours and pours and everywhere is grey and sort of dark even though it’s still daytime.

Then there’s Halloween, I love Halloween, seeing all the decorations and carving pumpkins. Then after Halloween it’s my birthday in November and then we have the whole build up to Christmas, Christmas markets, buying of presents and listening to Christmas music.

Mid September-January is just the time of year that I feel most happiest and content. The heat makes me sticky and uncomfortable in the uk so I’ve never enjoyed our warmer months.

Summer for me! Love waking up to the lighter mornings, stays light later so able to sit out for dinner, bbq’s etc. School holidays, I love having the children around and a break from the routine. Usually a holiday to also look forward to. I just feel better in the summer both physically and mentally.

Spring and summer for me. I hate being cold so winter is one big long, tedious ordeal to get through!

I was cutting the grass yesterday (mainly to lift the leaves) and it was beautiful. Lovely time of year.

I enjoy every season - one reason I like living in the UK. Each has its own personality and charm plus I needs its own annoyances . I dont have a favourite really although I do enjoy the heat of Summer more than a moist winter

If pushed I would say summer, I love the long days and the heat. Sitting in the garden and fresh air in the house from the open doors and windows.

Autumn reminds me of the first time I fell really in love.
All the little changes, the colours of leaves, the early morning frost, nightime mist, darker evenings, and the run up through Halloween, and Bonfire night to Christmas.

Having spent the bulk of my life working outdoors Spring is my favourite.

No more cold and wet conditions and nothing can compare with those first hints of warmth and to see blue sky again.

Then Summer

Then Autumn

Winter I don't intend to speak about as it should be banned.

Not a fan of winter... dark, wet, grey...

I like snow- the proper stuff. Don’t even get slush these days though.

I do like dry autumnal days. I love the colours.

Summer is probably my favourite- early summer though. By the time July comes, the summer seems to have passed already. I love sitting out in the evening and it not getting dark until 10. The days feel so long.
