I expect the OP will confirm that it is a BA Holiday not flight only as they asked for a return on their deposit, BA Holidays and flight only work on different systems and you can't pay a deposit on flight only.

Easy and quick, not pain free tho, gutted not to be going

Update from my previous posts. BA flights 1st Nov and 29th Nov.

Email today from BA headed "Your seats have been changed". Not really what I was expecting. Anyway after opening it would you believe it gave us an option of changing our flights back to LGW-MCO which is where they were about 8 weeks ago before they changed us to to LHR. Does anyone really believe they will be flying LGW to MCO on 1st Nov?

Anyway eventually the email did say flights cancelled offering the choice of accepting a change to LGW (really ), a voucher or a refund. Naturally a voucher could be done on the web site but a refund needed a phone call.

So after 20 minutes listening to the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes played on a Spanish guitar I reached a man. He tried to persuade me naturally to accept a voucher but I was just politely resistant.

Should be back in 7-10 days he says - a bit quicker than VAs 120+ days for our April flights

PS to say my recollection was slightly wrong. I did have an email about seat changes because we booked seats as a separate transaction. Whilst I was reading it another email came in cancelling the flights and offering option to change to LGW. I was reading two emails at once and got confused. Easy as a 74 year old

Just had the email that our outbound flight LHR to MIA on 5 November is cancelled. They have put us on a later flight. Presumably I don’t have to accept and can get a refund? They haven’t cancelled my return flight yet. If I ask for refund is entire journey refunded does anyone know?

I'd just bite the bullet and phone them and say your flights are cancelled and see how they respond. My experience just posted above although we did have both legs cancelled.

Try 0800 727 800 but be prepared "If you would like to read War & Peace before speaking to someone please press 4"
