I love a light lemon Victoria type sponge, with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream.

Also like the opposite... a heavy, substantial rich fruit cake with glace cherries, mixed peel and boozy mixed fruit. ( no little seedy currants though!)

Not that bothered about cake but my birthday cake last week was delicious! Red velvet inside, good work from hubby (choosing, not baking).

This is a Black Forest gateaux birthday cake that my friend made me, which I’d say is my favourite type of cake, the number is a longstanding joke as apparently I've been lying about my age for many years

Any cake except chocolate can’t stand any kind of chocolate cake brownie etc
I’ve just had a slice of homemade Dundee Cake with a large bit of Stilton cheese for lunch was worth faffing with all those almonds

I am not too bothered about cake. If I had to pick, coffee and walnut cake.

Favourite... my own Christmas cake, and I think I would have to be honest and say any cake please.
