Is this really fair?

I cooked Mrs MH a chicken casserole today which I thought was really nice and I asked her to be honest and tell me how many out of 10 she would give it, and she just gave it a '6.5.'

I am all for honesty but I'm a little upset because I felt it was worth at least an 8 out of 10, and I wished she would have lied.

Am I being unfair or is Mrs MH the unfair one, and should she have lied to avoid hurting my feelings?

Did you ask for a list of things that were wrong with the casserole ? It would be helpful for the next one you make. Practice makes perfect.

Perhaps Mrs MH was being generous saying 6.5. Really she might have wanted to say 2 !

I think she should be honest with you, I made a veg curry yesterday and it didn’t have much flavour. Dh had butter chicken but I got him to taste the veg curry and he said it didn’t have a lot of taste! He told the truth with I don’t mind, I have loads it over! 🤮
We went to Wendover and had a roast which was lovely, then walked round Wendover woods with ds and dd, just has sticky toffee pudding and profiterole stack from M&S

I never ask for a score. I ask if they want me to cook it again next week. That’s when the honesty comes out 😂
