I have done wine tasting a few times. And whiskey/whisky tasting. I really enjoy them - particularly those done in high end restaurants along side a food tasting menu.

I have learnt a lot from these, but TBH, I get my local wine merchant to advise me on what to buy. Years ago he told me to keep my receipts and mark down against each wine, what I thought of it. And to bring these marked up receipts and he would advise on wines that I might like and those to avoid based on wines I liked or didnt.

Havent done one in a while though - this year.

Here's one this week
Averys

I've had a few cases from Averys and they are exceptionally good. Naked Wines also do virtual events but I don't see any planned.

(I don't think there will be many face to face events running at the moment)

We have done the one in Veeno that comes with the food pairings. It was excellent. The food was delicious and the staff really nice and very informative.
