I think there is a confusion here between the verandah guaranteed rate DCL offers and restricted view verandah rooms. If it is a VG as in the image then the view is often fine, it may be a navigators or white wall verandah but they are not saying the view is going to be of a lifeboat or similar. The restriction is that you don't get to choose or swap your room, thats all. We did this once and got a perfectly fine room on deck 7 starboard with no restrictions to the view.

Hi - yes had to pay in full and can't do name changes etc so lots of restrictions! I was very tempted with the inside stateroom as DD stayed in one last year and it was lovely. However, thought i'd take a risk this time as the price is amazing and I love sitting on the verandah. The category I booked was VGT.

The only thing to consider is that you could be above things like the theatre and the nightclubs - which has happened on both occasions we’ve done GTY rates. And you can hear them. Also we got an accessible room once on a GTY which was larger but no tub and had some equipment around the shower to make it roll in

We are off for 17 nights with P&O round the Med than down to the Canaries...
Yes I know it's not Disney but we've paid £3100 for a deluxe balcony including flights!

Ive never been a fan of Disney cruises - did them when the kids were young. We usually do NCL now but trying Celebrity in Oct and partner is suggesting Princess for Hawaii next year.

Your trip sounds fabulous ! I love the Med and Canaries 😁

What Celebrity ship are you on?

We've done 2 Celebrity on the slightly older ships- unfortunately priced out of the new ships £1000 vs £1800 1 week fjords p&o or Celebrity now 😒
