I’ve booked 3rd to 13th staying at Dockside. Going to upgrade our Universal tickets from our trip this month to an AP and just do Universal. Looking forward to Mardi Gras. I’m hoping the weather will be ok, have only ever been in hot hot hot weather!

The last time I went was at the end of Jan for 2 weeks, there was a couple of chilly days, and sometimes a hoody or sweatshirt needed at night, but aside from that the weather was very nice, well nice for me, I couldnt cope with Orlando probably from May into September, I cant do Hot hot!

Am still stalking flights, they dropped considerably in last sale but then shot up and for various reasons could not book at that point!

I’ve got 2 adults, 1 teen for £1336 hand luggage only LGW-TPA, which is our preferred route! I did have £1515 with luggage and LGW Hilton the night before - kicking myself!

Aaaaand we are booked!
So excited to be finally taking our 2 children to the place that I have been to 26 times! It’s been a long 6 years since my last trip and I’m so out of touch with it all! But first step of booking the flights has been done. |

Excited about Disney
|
First time in February for us. Have been at Easter and in August before. Not been since 2019 and is a surprise trip for DS 16th birthday and DS 18th birthday. Planning on doing Universal definitely but perhaps if we save hard a few days at Disney too. Hoping the weather is warm enough for a couple of days in the water parks.
Got cheap flights LGW to TPA and decent car hire price. Have airport hotel and parking booked. Villa booked for 6 nights just debating where to stay for other 6 nights. Have a few different hotels booked on free cancellation and I am keeping my eye on any price drops.

First visit for us booked for Feb half term. Flying out on Friday 14th to return on the 21st. Shame it coincides with Presidents Day on the first weekend, but with my wife being a teacher we are definitely excluded for term time breaks. Luckily she doesn't work on a Friday, so one missed school day for the daughter shouldnt be too bad.
Universal only for us as it's only a week, so hopefully it'll quieten down once the first weekend has passed. |
