Thomas cook flights 2019?
Hey so I've looked at TC flights and for some reason they are out for 2019 flying from Manchester to San Francisco Sept 19th then flying back from LA to Manchester 13 days later is £456 each.
Is that a decent price or should I wait x

I bought ours this week, summer 19 in the kids holidays, into San Francisco and out of Vegas £550 each. Absolute steal. And if we could have come back one day later which we couldn’t due to dates, we could have had PE on the return for £40 cheaper.
Same flights this summer - £986 each cheapest direct! |

In my experience flights tend to go up with Thomas cook and not down. ( unless it's a couple of months before ). I have no idea of pricing as never had to look at San Fran flights /LA flights ... but I think that is quite good for USA twin centre direct. I've just done a similar thing yesterday with Thomas cook man to JFK then mco back to Glasgow and I don't think having done the same thing with Thomas cook twice that the flight prices direct could be beaten. I def think snap them quickly

Just starting to think about heading to California next summer (2019), and these flight prices look really good. Shame it seems to only be from Manchester, really need a London airport.

jclaydon - BA do very good value flydrives. Look for best prices in September or the first week of January. For me, I’ve always seen the cheapest price first week of Jan. I booked Jan 4 and Jan 8 last 2 years for August flights. This year we’re going into Phoenix and home from LAX - £824 and last year a flydrive in/out LAX was £1024 with standard car. We found California flights much cheaper than Orlando flights but hotels more expensive in California.

Thats great thanks, will make a note to look around September time.
What about hotels do they tend to get booked up quickly? Would be looking to go in August 2019, flying into San Francisco, then Yosemite, then probably finish with a few days in Disney (very rough plan!) |

Have a look at Norwegian from Gatwick. Personally it would have to be an exceptional price to fly with BA. Tightest configuration of all the airlines and no better service than any one else. Their A380 config gives cattle class a very apt name.
Depending on which side of London, Stansted have also started flights to the US. Thomson for example for Las Vegas. |

You will need to book Yosemite as soon as reservations open one year in advance. Everything gets snapped up.
We had no issues with BA at all. Have flown Norwegian to New York and it was no better or worse. We went to LAX on the A380, sat upstairs. Was actually quite roomy and the cabin was full but quiet. Food was decent for airline food and no issues with service or crew. |
