Feeling disappointed

We were due to fly this Saturday and had a great trip planned to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had booked flights, Disney and universal with an independent travel agent and had booked beach stay and car ourselves. It was only the flights that were TC but they then formed part of a package. I really wanted to proceed with re booking flights literally as soon as the news was announced but TA would not confirm that we could do this, stating that they couldn’t guarantee the rest of our holiday would be okay to go ahead with. Have had to just let it go and the people at the TA are so nice but I feel I should still have been able to go on the holiday re booking flights and claiming through my travel insurance not atol. Others must have had similar bookings ? But time to sort it wasn’t on our side, have unpacked today

My heart goes out to you so much planning goes into a holiday and being such a special occasion. My Son and his family should have been going to Turkey Sunday with TC.
