Getting into Miami from airport

Thanks for everyone’s replies. I have been in touch with the tour operator and we save £70 by doing it this way plus the $200 it was going to cost in parking fees. There are 9 of us plus 8 suitcases, so are we going to need 3 taxis or does anyone know if they have larger minibus available? Thanks.

You can order 2 x Uber xl, we did that from Brickell Miami to the airport. It was a massive SUV loads of room, didn't cost much more than a standard Uber

The public garages are $20 for 24 hours don’t know if there’s one near your hotel
We used this instead of Valet parking at our South Beach hotel

I gave them the go ahead to change it yesterday but the travel agent called me to say that the seven seater is no longer available to collect from hotel and drop off at airport. She says it’s sold out since they quoted me yesterday! As we are not going until October I find this very strange. I called Alamo (uk office) and he confirmed it’s not showing as available on his system either. It looks like we will have to collect and drop off at airport after all.

We then called another one and this time we did find him but the driver didn’t speak a word of English and I had to use my basic Spanish to get us back to the hotel! Why if it was an Uber did you need Spanish to get back to the hotel? Surely your destination was on his screen from the order on the app ?

Because he couldn’t find it! Think he must have been a new arrival to the area!
