Not necessarily - the one I had at my GP surgery was 4x the strength of what a high street can use (I am under 64 but needed the higher dose this year for other issues)
Your GP surgery has access to your records and can prescribe The most effective for quite a selection this year Flu vaccine ingredients There are several types of injected flu vaccine. None of them contains live viruses so they are called inactivated vaccines. If you're eligible for the flu vaccine on the NHS, you'll be offered one that's most effective for you, depending on your age: adults aged 18 to 64 – there are different types, including low-egg and egg-free ones adults aged 65 and over – the most common one contains an extra ingredient to help your immune system make a stronger response to the vaccine Edited at 06:00 PM. |

Had mine at the local chemist last week. Had to book beforehand and she did say I would be eligible for the free one (over 50) but it wouldn't start being offered until Nov/Dec. I was happy to pay the £14 to get it there and then at which point she admitted she wasn't too hopeful of getting additional supplies.

I’ve had mine this week I have asthma so get it free. I have to say it’s the first time I’ve had a local reaction. Red and hot not painful though it makes you wonder what’s in it this year !

My husband receives it on the NHS every year and he is normally chased by the doctors surgery until he gets it. This year he isn’t eligible yet (under 65) and there is no stock locally at all. We have been told that he’ll have to wait until the end of the year.

The three of us have ours at boots. I booked online back in august and even then couldn’t get in until the first weekend in october. DS is always free but this year DH and I got ours for free too as DS was shielding and is immunosupressed.
