SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular
We haven't done this before and wondered if anyone had and could tell me about it?
My niece is an adult but with autism and learning difficulties and she will definitely want to dress up and go trick or treating - is there an age limit or is it like MNSSHP where adults can dress up and take part? I'm just thinking if she cant then we might have to avoid the park when this is on as she wont understand why she cant take part too

Tim Tracker did a video blog about it and was given loads of candy as an adult. I haven't been before but we have annual passes this year and my 16 year old autistic daughter is really looking forward to it. SeaWorld is a very autism friendly park so I can't imagine it would be a problem even if adults weren't usually included.
Are you aware the special Halloween events are only on weekends though?

We went 5 years ago and thought it was pretty good as it was free ! It's only on Saturdays and Sundays in October.
They opened up the candy trail at 12 noon (I think) and you just follow the walkways where there are several candy stations and characters out. I remember it being really bright and colourful and lots of bubbles and music. The theming is definitely aimed towards younger children and there's no hint of anything scary and I wasn't really aware of any guests being in fancy dress, although there's no reason why you couldn't. It was nicely done and we got lots of candy - although the kids weren't impressed with one station that gave out healthy snacks instead! There's no age limit - my DH and I got bags given to us too, to collect candy in. So you should be fine. |

We went to Seaworld's Spooktacular... erm... 9 years ago (wow, that long!). It's great, especially as it's "free" (= included in the price of the regular Seaworld tickets). I don't believe there's an age limit to dressing up. Adults can certainly join in the fun collecting candy and dancing along to some of the music. It's good fun, but do note that it takes place during the day, not during the night, and it can get a little warm (depending on the weather). So it might be a good idea to choose a light, thin costume.
Here's a link to my trippy page when we visited the Spooktacular: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...d.php?t=465832 As mentioned Seaworld is an autism friendly park.

We've did it the last few times we've visited and for young kids its great loads of free sweets you can fill a big bag no problem.
Also as mentioned previously it is only on at weekends but the parks never been overly busy when we've been there. |

We always do this every year as its free & we are in the park anyway for the coasters. Its over to one side of the park, you stroll along stopping at the candy stations on a route. There is NOTHING scary. Its happy fishy pumpkins etc, very colourful & bubbly! Never ever found it to be anything but calm (my DD has SEN). Often see a 'few' young children dressed up but only the odd adult, probably because its done between the hours of 12 & 6pm so realistically it would be too hot... Its great for those that don't want to pay out on MNSSHP, it makes the kids feel like they have done something Halloween related
