Fly drive BA
If booking a fly drive from Gatwick to tampa can you pick up the car from Disney car centre after the first week ( and drop off at tampa airport), staying onsite first week and only need it second half? Also if so, how do people get from tampa airport to their Disney hotel? Thanks

I believe you will have to pick the car up from Tampa and return it to Tampa. Surely the £100 ish that you would pay for an uber to get the hour and a half into Disney would offset the hotel parking costs and just park it when you arrive and go out to it when you leave your Disney hotel.
You may find it useful when you are at Disney if you need a trip to a chemist/supermarket/doctors. |

Use the customise my trip option on the BA website. This allows you to hire a car for part of the holiday - and pick up and return from any Avis location.
As PP said, the cost of a taxi from Tampa to Disney probably offsets the cost of parking.

We’re picking up from Tampa and returning to Miami but we booked it all as a package on BA website customising our flydrive to get the best flight price so options are available.
However as said, the cost of getting from Tampa to Disney would offset Disney parking charges. Not sure if you can only hire for part of your trip on a flydrive anyway so check the website as mentioned customisation are available but do check that even if you can that it works out cost effective. With BA flydrives, you can hire the car for all or part of the holiday; there is an option within the process to select the dates you want.

The cost of parking would offset the cost of getting to and from Tampa but not necessarily the hire cost for the additional weeks car hire.

You could always do a one way rental for 24hrs to get you to your hotel & drop off the car at DCCC. Then pick up another rental later in your trip.
Ive booked a one way rental from Port Canaveral to Miami with Avis for £42 a group S SUV |
