Monzo cards
Hi I know something has been posted before regarding monzo cards. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. We are travelling around so wanted the best way to take our money thanks for any advice

had one for a few years now and love it. its my main spending account in the uk, but it gets used constantly on holiday. you can get up to £200 a month fee free out in foreign currency (then theres a small charge per withdrawal), so if you and your OH both have one, that is usually enough cash for a few days away, or 2 weeks in the US
the exchange rate is pretty much the interbank rate, and there are no conversion fees. the app is easy to use, and getting notifications to your phone as soon as you spend money on it is fantastic! cant recommend it enough! since i got mine, my gf and both her parents have got cards (they go on holiday 3+ times a year all over the world, and now swear by it) Edited at 12:43 PM. |

Had mine a few years now and never had a problem.
Love the way they instantly update you on your phone when you buy something. It’s literally the minute it’s put through the till. |

Absolutely bloody brilliant on holiday! I put all my spending money on my Monzo account and used the card everywhere no problem.
The app does fab things; Registers your spend immediately Converts from dollars to pounds Tells you at the end of each day how much you've spent and EVEN knows when you come home because I got a notification that said "on your recent trip to the USA you spent £XXX" best bank ever! |

Its an amazing card, and ive only used in the UK so far! I got it ready for our Orlando holiday but its too convienient not to use here. I transfer my monthly food budget onto it and its ideal at keeping track of my pennies. For those that use it in the US, did you notify the company first before heading out or you just used it state side and it worked ok? x

I have one too and love it! I especially love the fact that you can freeze the card so no one else can use it.

Used to have one but swapped to Starling last year which I have found to be much better as you can withdraw more without fees and exchange rate seems slightly better
