Gloss paint or similar that doesn’t turn yellow
I’m about to decorate but need a gloss paint or something similar that doesn’t turn yellow. What’s there now isn’t great at all and I don’t want to spend ages doing it and then discover it turns yellow again. Can anyone recommend something please?

Sadly since they removed lead from oil based paints they all yellow. Even more so when the paintwork isn't in full sunlight to keep it whiter.
I always use Dulux Trade. Not bad.

We got a water-based eggshell from the Dulux trade shop on their recommendation. It’s in a conservatory and we wanted to avoid yellowing and they said the water based does this. Apparently it’s the more modern choice of decorators. It’s doing ok so far.

We’ve used a light grey for all our woodwork to avoid this. Looks nice and no yellowing!

We also use quick drying satin, not as hard wearing, but doesn’t yellow and looks good.

Thanks everyone for your help, I now at least have a starting point instead of staring blankly and the shelves of paint tomorrow 😁

I use Leyland waterbased gloss, you can find it in Screwfix or Tool Station.

We use satin now too, and it's a lot less smelly than gloss
