Restaurant recommendations for Oban/Inverness

So now we have finalised our trip details its time to add in the essestials - FOOD!

I am hoping that more places will be open for eating in by the time we go but in the meantime I'm looking for restaurant recommendation for
Oban and Inverness.

We eat anything but really LOVE our seafood! and Gin - we love gin

Dont mind a drive out (we will also be heading up to Thurso for the day to see family) and we will be heading out to isle of mull for the day too.

Thanks guys x

We were in Inverness a couple of weeks ago.

We ate at Aspendos Turkish restaurant in the centre of Inverness on the lunchtime special menu and it was really nice. Just walked in and it was quite quiet.

We struggled to eat out too much in evening as restaurants were either closed (all the chain Italians were closed) or reduced menu with nothing the kids fancied or fully booked, so definitely book in advance if you see somewhere you fancy.

There were a couple of restaurants on the other side of the river to town - Prime steak and seafood house and Kitchen brasserie (orange signs 3 stories and all glass front overlooking river) - both looked nice but we couldn’t get booked in either all week we were there at a sensible time for the kids.

There was also Tiger on The Wall, an Asian (opposite the cathedral) which did eat in or takeaway. We got takeaway. It was nice enough but not like Chinese at home (maybe more like a Indian) so the kids weren’t too keen.

Let me know if you find anywhere nice as we go to Benderloch just north of Oban next month.
