Call me crazy...thinking of booking for January...but hear me out :)

I have just come across a fantastic deal with BA for 12 nights in January (2A, 3C, LHR-MCO, Universal Surfside/Dockside, £1950)

I am thinking of paying the £350 deposit with a view to cancel and claim a my deposit back as a voucher 3 weeks before travel if necessary. This can be used towards another holiday up until April 2022.

Completely understand that we may not be going but I think I am willing to take the risk for the sake of £350.

Sounds good to me. Plus as you say the risk is non existent as you could 'roll your deposit'. Go for it, you know you want to.

Love reading these positive threads. My finger is hovering over the book button for next August but am just concerned about insurance, tried Stay sure as recommended but said no cover for Covid.

My view is very simplistic. Book and hope we can go. If not then we cancel and try again

No way am I going to be held hostage to rising flight prices as this Virus diminishes which we all know it will.

As good old Fred Pontin said Book Early.

We already have March and May booked. Will be booking August as soon as the flights are released.

Just to give you a little boost of confidence we booked a fly drive with BA for October this year paid £400 deposit and £590 on top then the dreaded C-19 hit
Got a text on Wednesday this week ( 2nd) to say it’s cancelled pressed 3 for refund and it’s back on the card this morning didn’t even have to speak to anyone .
We love BA anyway but this has made us decide to definitely book for this time next year .

* edited as I checked the day the text came through ! 3 days turnaround

Edited at 02:35 PM.

If you’re crazy then I am too!
I’m still holding onto my BLT studio for new year and have a May trip at BCV booked as well.
I don’t actually have flights for either yet as I’m still waiting on virgin refunding my miles and cash from this year’s trips😠Availability looks good at the moment though🤞
Your plan sounds good to me😁

Think I'm going to book it.

Just need confirmation that we can have the annual leave (although the availability for both of us looks good)

Also, does anyone know if ESTA's are being approved at the moment? Ours expire on the 5/1/21.
