Transport!

Hi everyone,

Just wanting a little advice regarding transport on my wedding day.

We are just having the standard limo service. We are staying at Beach Club and getting married at the Wedding Pavilion with a meal afterwards at The Attic on the Boardwalk.

We have been quoted a bus by our planner for our guests to use for 5 hours. we have been quoted $483 and on top of everything else we just feel its an expense we could do without.

We are having another wedding reception when we get home so really need to start cutting costs!

Has anyone got any suggestions for alternate transport ideas? Our guests are Disneyworld geeks so love using monorails etc so if all fails we could just come up with a plan? They are all staying at different hotels so would be difficult thinking of something.

Are there always taxis available from the GF? and from The Boardwalk?

Any help would be great!

Thanks !

For some reason the planners always go straight for the 5 hour coach but there are other options. Yes they can just get cabs. You can book one way vans via your planner I think they are $25 each. You can use your limo to go all over WDW picking people up if you want, that's what I did.

Will try to get you some more info, be right back!

Thanks that's so helpful!

Planner has now mentioned vans so think we can go with that. I'm mainly bothered about transport from the GF go the boardwalk. So at least that's sorted!

I may only need to use the limo on the morning to pick up my dad and flower girls from CB hotel to beach club! Everyone else has said they will arrange their own transport.

Thanks so much again!

We used a mixture:

Limo Service for 4 hours - did a lot of shuttling between Contemp and GF, GF and WP and WP and Contemp for reception - just over $400

One way town cars (up to 4 people) @ $32 each

One way lux vans (up to 8 peope) @ $40 each

It meant everyone being where they had to be on time AND I liked the way the guests all travelled in lux van convoy at the same time from the WP to the Contemp.

We also had the landau coach rather than the cinderella coach and don't regret it one bit

Aaron and I travelled from the GF to the Contemp for the reception via the monorail - that was awesome!

Oh and as we had a LOT of transport they made us hire a transport coordinator - $170 per 5 hours...
