Thank you, I've found another option (later flight to glasgow then an easyjet) which would give us 4 hours between flights, I'm still researching but think that would be ok. There are 4 of us bt the kids will be 13 and 10 so no hassle and can shift when we need them to lol. |

This kind of flight is exactly what I’m researching at the moment. The Glasgow prices are awful.

We have done this twice. Flown MAN-DUB the day before our DUB-MCO flight. We stay in a Premier Inn in Dublin then go back to the airport the next day.
Dh could not cope with a connecting flight on the way out, we do fly DUB-MAN the same day we land at Dublin on our return. There are several options for us if we miss our MAN-DUB flight hence why Dh will do it. Saves us a lot of money. The only issue we had the first time was that we were tired and the layover felt like forever. But last year we flew business class return to had slept and were on much more comfortable seats in the business class lounge.

Have you tried the BA multi city option (with car and hotel) that allows you to book at all the same time? The big hop on day 2 after a late flight down the previous day and on airport stay. Think this might be the best bet. Have seen this option on Expedia as well.
We are going indirect from Edinburgh to Philadelphia to Orlando as had done the Gatwick jaunt last time and although okay on the way out, the way home was a nightmare with 2 exhausted kids. Land in Edinburgh on way home after overnight flight from Philly. |

We flew Glasgow to Gatwick on Easyjet, stayed at the Premier Inn, then flew to MCO with Virgin. On the return we booked a day room at the Premier Inn(£50) and actually had a nap before catching our flight back to Glasgow.
You could also try flying to London but buy a return ticket to Glasgow, GAT to MCO, MCO to GLA maybe even direct. These flights sometimes are good bit cheaper. |

Managed to get easyjet to gatwick then Gatwick to mco the next day. Same journey in reverse home but all in 1 day with a layover of 4 hours. The gatwick mco tickets were under 300pp including luggage and seats etc with virgin! That's via netflights in case it helps. Travelling to mco on the 30th sept
