Stupid questions:

1. How does the weather compare to a uk summer?

2. Do they change all the music to Christmas? I love the music but am really meh about Christmas music 🙈

Christmas time gets my vote, your DD will adore MVMCP and all the music / ride overlays / decorations of Christmas time, it's just so magical. She can do MK in her PJs for the party so lots for her to get excited about.

Be on the ball at 11 months if staying on points, as the points are so low the 1st week of December, they're snapped up. We did get a studio at CCV for last month but I booked it as soon as booking opened.

1. pretty similar, REALLY unpredictable. Perfect warm weather mostly, but then a cold front would pass and it would be really chilly, I wore 3/4 length jeans and a fleece the entire time, there's only one evening that I wasn't warm enough.

2. pretty much, yes.

We went in October and did MNSSHP and it really cold that night - around 29th October so much so we cut the evening short. We were very relieved to be going in August and back to the heat last time so I wouldn't base it on weather as it can be cold in October too. Will you be doing waterparks, DC? that may make a difference with the weather too.

That’s true - she would! Actually as it happens Christmas does seem to be something my son understands too.

Hmm right - that’s interesting about CCV. We were liking at Poly at 7 months out. 🙈

Thanks for your help!

True. I can’t imagine it being cold over there - then again with kids it might be better? Not DC, maybe a water park but if not it’s not a big deal - my son is a bit of a handful in them tbh. Last time we went we did blizzard beach twice but mainly just Kidani pool.

I’m not sure what point is being missed here.

We book our BA reward outbound flights the day they’re released and phone the day the inbound are released to book the second half. I’ve never heard of leaving it to 3 months before because they’re rarely available. This is the strategy advised on many flight and points sites.

BA releases 4 Economy and 2 Club World when the flights are released guaranteed, and may or may not release any more after that. They may also release some Economy plus, but not always. So if you want them you get them at 355 days, or you often don’t get them at all.

Edit to add: reward seats are NOT specifically there to reward frequent flyers. If they were then flying would be the only wait to accrue points. BA, Virgin and others offer reward credit cards, as well as other ways of earning which can get you points for flights without ever paying for a cash flight.

I think you might have over reacted a little in your response to me, I certainly didn't deserve the virtual flogging you decided to give me.

Anyway I hope you get the flights you want and have a good trip, I'll retreat gracefully now...
I’m still not sure where you find this is the commonly accepted practice as it’s one I e never heard of in all my time reading flyertalk and head for points. In fact it’s the exact opposite.
