Daughter in law has got her wish

She can have a home delivery of baby 2 she was 6 hours from first pain to delivery last time
Her midwife led team are excited but a very senior midway who had years of home delivery experience will be with her she's due in 4 weeks

Good news I had our second at home and found it so much better. Poor doc was against it but my midwife told him she had delivered more babies than he had hot dinners and was not worried so he shouldn’t be either. Was definitely the right decision for me.

I delivered lots of home births when I was a midwife... and had a couple of my own... much better than hospital in the right circumstances...

Oh that's great, I had a home birth second time around after a 4 hour labour first time. It was amazing, I'm not very comfortable in hospitals and it was wonderful just being able to sit on my own sofa and have my family around me straight away rather than visitor times!
