I know what you mean - my Granny and Grandpa lived in the Borders as do many of my Fathers side of the family. The view from Horse shoe bend if the Eildon Hills is breathtaking - I remember the swing bridge well too ! Very happy memories of summers up there (meigle hill, megget (sp ?), common riding at Selkirk ... I could go in but must revisit soon
That is my favourite UK place and California (Palm Springs in particular but also LA area) abroad is where I want to have a second home (maybe one day ... ) |

Jersey, used to go on annual holidays as a young child/teenager with my parents. Holds a special place in my heart and I still enjoy going there now, although it’s changed dramatically over the last 40+ years.
