Revolut security settings

So these are my current security settings but I’m a bit confused

Does this mean my location services are on
I can’t withdraw from ATM
I can’t use swipe
I can’t use online
Am I correct in thinking I have to use chip and pin in the UK before I go ?
When I’m away do I have to carry my mobile with me for the location services to work, also I’m not going to be using a data plan, just connecting to free wifi, is that okay ?

I sorted it out when I was out there as I got rejected a few times because I thought I had the right settings on . Yes you have to use it here first.

That means location based security is on. I don't know exactly.what it is tracking, but it should stop your card being used half way round the world.

However, i got rejected one time at disney due to location based security. Had my card and phone on me so son't know what that was about. I just turned that off after that.

Yes correct on other items. Just turn off location based security, you don't need your phone with you.

Having location based settings on does make you get rejected at times. for example, some supermarkets will have their location set as their head office, not the branch you are in. therefore your payment maybe rejected. the other issue will be if you are not using a cellular plan, your phone may think you are in another location (i.e. hotel you last signed into, whereas you are really in a restaurant)

Personally, I turn location off always. have online and ATM off (only turn on when need to use) and if in USA have swipe on (if you want to use in a restaurant, they nearly all swipe)

We turned the settings on/off as they were needed with no problems. All very easy to use.

We didn’t use the card at all before using in Orlando and it worked fine, no issues out whole trip.

First time you use Revolut (i.e. new card) the first payment has to be in the UK and has to be chip-and-pin if I remember correctly - this then opens up the security options. You don't need to do this at any other time, just your first payment
