We did both for breakfasts in 2015 and much preferred Akershus. Nicer food, better princess interaction and felt we had plenty of time to enjoy it. We felt rushed in CRT but I'm glad we did it once for the experience.

We're doing dinner at CRT this year with our 12 year old daughter. I suggested dinner at 1900 Park Fayre instead, but was out voted, daughter is desperate to experience the Castle.

I fully appreciate this is a one off and we're not expecting food to be great, but seeing as we're on the DDP, might as well give it a bash!

we did both last August, we had breakfast at CRT and Dinner at Akershus

we have 4 children boys, 17, 15, 8 and a little girl age 5

We loved both. However when we arrived at Akershus we were originally seated in a very "non themed" part of the restaurant right by the toilets. no atmosphere at all, and not at all what I expected, so after sitting there for 10 mins I asked for us to be moved into the main banqueting hall, we had to wait a while but they managed to find us a perfect table in the corner and after that it was all great! Food was lovely, and Princesses had great intervention with us. They did a little procession around the banquet hall which mine loved. There was snow white, ariel, cinderella and sleeping beauty and we met Belle on the way in.

CRT was amazing, it was so lovely going into the castle ( had only been once 20 years ago!) We met Cinderella on the way in, then at the meal we had Aurora, Jasmine and Ariel ) Breakfast was lovely and we all got wands / wishing stars and swords, although I did have to ask for us to have them as only my 2 youngest got them at the table just loved being in the castle, in the magic kingdom. The breakfast was lovely. Loads of the best freshly squeezed orange juice that we had ever had, we drank loads!

If I was to only choose 1, I would go for CRT in the Castle, just for the atmosphere , although we had no problems with the food We did a later breakfast, so we didn't feel rushed at all.
