First of all can I just say that I have not quoted the OP any prices, whether it be for 2017 or 2018. The only prices I have quoted have been in reply to post 11, which was written by you about ATD being only £2 or £3 off the cheapest prices.
Below is my reply to what you have written above, and in post 11. In post 11 you said "I have been looking at various ticket companies over the past year to compare Universal passes and the 21 day Disney pass". Above you said. "I'm not sure how quoting prices for 2017 is relevant when the OP asked for prices for 2018 - which is what I have been tracking and what I have given my advice based on". Seeing as you said "over the past year" in post 11, I took this to mean that you started looking last June when the 2018 prices would not have been out, so obviously you couldn't have been tracking them at that time, so you must have been looking at the 2017 prices back then. This is why I said at the moment [referring to the 2017 prices] there is a difference of between £20 and £47, and not the £2 or £3 that you said. I have also just checked the 2018 prices for the Disney 21 Day Ultimate ticket for next year. ATD are £437, which is between £5 and £19 dearer than other companies, with the exception being, orlandoattractiontickets.co.uk £448. Virgin £445. Disney £439. ATD are between £10 and £19 more expensive than the four cheapest companies. orlandoattractions.com £418.08 floridaescapes.co.uk £422 [ you say these are £442 ] link below. floridaescapes/wal...g-memory-maker kenwoodtravel.co.uk £425 americanattractions.co.uk £427 This is more than the £2 or £3 that you said in post 11. At the very best they are still £5 dearer than the next cheapest to them, and at the worst £19. I admit that there is only a difference of £3 and £7 between ATD and most other companies for the 2018 Universal 3 Park Explorer ticket, with the exception of orlandoattractions.com. ATD £254 orlandoattractions.com £237.90. My original post was primarily to show that ATD are mostly more expensive than other companies, and secondly to say that the cheaper companies that I named also offer good customer service, as well as ATD. [ although I should have made it clear that from what I have read on these forums that all the ticket companies offer a good customer service, and not just the cheaper ones that I named, and for that I apologise to those other companies and I will edit my original post]. I stand by everything I have said about ATD being mostly more expensive than the other companies, whether for this year or next year, and I think the prices confirm that. Edited at 01:58 PM. |

Thanks for all this. It has certainly saved me a lot of time and effort.
I'll make sure I take ATD off my list 👍 |

Don't take them off your list. Check the price of every body and go with the best. As earlier they were cheapest for what we wanted for this August
If another company is cheaper, go with them instead

As I mentioned earlier (and to echo 3family's comment above), although ATD are often one of the more expensive companies, they do sometimes have special deals that can be attractive. So don't discount them completely.
My comments were mainly answering the OP's question as to whether ATD's win-win deal was definitely the cheapest way of buying tickets. Probably not, would be my answer.

As others have said, don't take them off your list as at times they do have some good offers on, just check all the sites to get the best deal.
