DDP - is the disney dining for Onsite guests only?
Hi,
As far as I'm aware you can only have DDP if you stay onsite. A girl I work with thinks she can stay offsite in an International Drive hotel and still buy Disney dining? Is this possible or is she confused with other parks dining options? |

You're right. Dining plans are for onsite guests. They've recently started a dining plan that guests staying at selected Disney "good neighbour" hotels can buy. There was also a trial of a one day dining plan for MK but I don't know any details of that.

You have to be staying on site to take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan.
Quote from WDW site: Disney Dining Plans, offered to United Kingdom holiday makers, are convenient money-saving options available exclusively to Guests of Disney Resort hotels and must be booked in advance along with your Disney Park Ticket. |

No, you can only buy the dining plan if staying on-site and even then it has to be for a minimum stay of 5 nights with tickets bought at the same time. You can't stay on idrive and get it at all.
There's a trial of a dining card, but it's only at select locations, but not idrive hotels: worldofwalt/disney-o...ct-guests.html

There was a daily dining plan available in Magic Kingdom for offsite guests recently. I don't know if it's still available but maybe that's what your friend meant.
