For us we found the portions at Mama Melrose too overwhelming but that's just us. We didn't do Hoop de Hoop as my niece chose Spirit of Aloha (we all had one choice each!) My 10 year old loves curries so Sanaa and Yak & Yeti was a big hit. We all loved Beaches and Cream! We had it as a late lunch/early tea and then snacked round the world in the evening at Epcot ready to watch the illuminations. After B & C some CM from the Beach Club invited them all to play football on the grass at BC. It was a lovely afternoon and a great way to have a nosy at the hotel!

We did that too and it gave my son greater flexibility but we used some of his credits and paid OOP for his kid's meal if that's all he wanted.

They did enjoy Whispering Canyon for the 'experience' but it was too near the end of the holiday and we just couldn't eat it all...

And having 2 snack credits each day now I can't wait for the challenge to use them all up. We struggled last time, came away on the last day with lots of bags of candy 😁
we will catch a few days of the food & wine festival yes so will make use of those snack credits early in the holiday

For QS the hotels and DS are a better bet than the parks.

We like the Contempo Cafe at the CR which has some nice options especially at dinner. At POR they have a build your own pasta or salad bars. Mara as has been said has some different choices too.
