contact lenses

Hi everyone, my dd 14 is desperate to wear contact lenses as she is really fed up with wearing glasses! I have said if she gets on with them alright she can wear them occasionally as otherwise they would be too expensive. If she gets them they will be ciba vision dailies, what i want to know is when we go on holiday in a couple of weeks time could i buy some in orlando if anyone has done this how did they compare pricewise? thanks dibbers for any help

Opticians in this country won't let you have the dailies until you have worn a pair for a few hours and then had your eyes checked to see if they are suitable. I don't know if this applies in the US. Also the prescription for glasses will be different to the one for contacts.

i dont use dailies, i get the 30 day contacts that you can sleep in, there great and it works out about £45 for a 3 month supply. A lot easier than having to put your dailies in all the time

You can not just go in and buy them . I am pretty sure you have to be registered with them. Plus the price difference won't be that much as they don't cost much here.

I have recently started wearing contact lens as I too wanted to be spec free for Disney, the optician has repeatedly informed me that they are not to be worn at waterparks due to a bug that is transferred through water and can cause serious damage to the eyes. However for non waterpark days I am looking forward to wearing trendy sunglasses for the first time in years.
