Alaska Cruise advice

So we are thinking of doing an Alaska cruise in 2020. It would need to be a round trip to San Francisco, La, Vancouver or Seattle so RCI is out I think. Does anyone have any recommendations? We looked at DCL but would ideally like an indoor pool option if possible. We have 2 children who will be 7 and 8 so it will need to be child friendly as well.

We went with NCL on the Norwegian Pearl from Seattle, loved it, saw so much wildlife and beautiful scenery. Definitely want to go back someday.

We're going on NCL in June and I'm really looking forward to it. We're only going one way but I can let you know what it was like when we get back.

We went with DCL 2 years ago. The pools were heated so the kids were still able to use them.. It was just a tad chilly getting out My kids were 10 & 8 at the time & it was one of their favourite holidays. It will be super no matter which cruise line you decide on.. Awesome trip.

A few years ago we DD this cruise with Holland America from Vancouver and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would love to be able to go again.

Not especially child friendly but for anyone following I can't recommend celebrity enough for their Alaska itineraries.

I am currently looking into this for August 2018 from Vancouver.
I can't decide on a roundtrip (but don't know who else does this other than Disney and HAL ) or a one way with Princess.

I was nearly ready to book the Princess cruise with T.O.A.D (US travel agent) but they told me yesterday they can't book Princess cruises for a UK client!

I will be following this thread with interest

Thanks everyone for your advice. I think I shall start checking out all the different options. Disney would obviously be great for us because of our children being reasonably young (7 and 9 in 2020). Yankinscotland that would be fantastic thank you.

Carnival Corporation (Princess, HAL, Carnival, Cunard, P&O, etc) have it stitched up - regional pricing they call it! It basically means we can't take advantage of the great offers they get in the States - along with the more advantageous booking conditions.
Have a look at Vacationstogo to get an overview of who sails where.
This summer, the Grand Princess is doing 10 day round trips to Alaska from San Francisco - which is handy to combine with a California trip.
Princess also has two ships (Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess) doing 7 day round trips out of Seattle.
In summer 2018, Celebrity are doing RT out of Vancouver (as well as HAL).
