Depends on the cost. I have just paid $30 to upgrade the free magic bands! No need but I still did it!
I think like free dining there will be free UK offers for " free fast passes" with a 14 night stay etc, perhaps removing the $200 gift card.
It will come I'm sure. It will make no difference to the attendance numbers and if they do drop that's a bonus!
Disney are amazing at been able to make money and this is an avenue they will explore .

Would I pay. Yes.

I'd not pay and reconsider my DVC. It would cost Brits a fortune with extended stays. As I've said on here, it's likely coming though, matter of time.

No I wouldnt pay and probably will stop visiting the Disney parks if they do. Im already really disappointed that after spending nearly 2,000 for our Disney tickets theres some rides I cant get a FP for.

I think what I would be happy with is when buying a 14 day ticket you get 1 FP for every single ride in all parks, then you pay if you want more for additional rides. I imagine currently lots of people book multiple FPs on a single ride and dont even show up for the ride and dont bother cancelling. If you only get 1 chance to ride it and you miss it then its tough.

Be interested to know how many people just miss their FPs because as far as I know theres no penalty for taking up these slots and not showing.

Its definitely coming. Look at the parks over here.
- we pay to park our car
- we pay for fast passes that are tiered.
- we pay extra for special nights/days.
Disney are just playing catch up.

Depends on the cost. And what is given for free when onsite. But possibly.

I dont think people skipping their fp makes any real difference. Disney will have some pretty solid data on the % of no shows and will allocate tickets accordingly issuing more than the number they actually want through the gate. If every person turned up regularly they would drop the number of fp they issue and the same numbers would still be getting on via a fp.

Nope - never would. Having said that I do feel that Universal have a great system with Express pass being included in the Deluxe hotels, so while you are paying for them in the cost of your hotels, it is a great extra to have. With Disney having so many more hotel rooms I can't see this working at WDW though.
I actually like the Fastpass + system - it seems to work well for us, and travelling slightly off peak we never have an issue getting them as long as we are timely at the 60 day window.

I certainly won't be paying for fast passes! A Disney holiday is expensive enough without all these extra costs.

We don't pay for fast passes that are tiered. Everyone can get free fast passes for all tier 1 and tier 2 rides. It's just we can only book one tier 1 fast pass at a time.
