Issues with my MacBook
I have a 5 year old Mac Book Pro.
Its had all its updates etc. However over the last 2-3 weeks it keeps freezing when I try to load web pages? There is nothing wrong with my internet connection and when I restart it it runs fine for either 5 or 50 minutes then stops again. I don't have any issues with any other aspects of it. The only thing that that is "new" is the WhatsApp computer function (as well as on my phone but it works ok). My DH who loves a gadget and investigating issues cannot find anything on the internet about why it is doing this! Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas? Thanks |

Download ONYX titanium-software/en/onyx.html and run all the clean up on there. It will get rid of all the spurious stored stuff. Normally that fixes problems with Safari.

My daughter had downloaded the new software and it froze the computer. Went to apple store nothing they could do as they said it was the hard drive which wa corrupted from the new update. MacBook was working fine before update

So I tried what Stu suggested - it worked for a bit.
The problem seems to be with wifi within both safari and email. Sometimes the email connects - sometimes it doesn't. Safari will start to load a page - it gets 1/3 of the way then freezes If I do a restart it will re-set it self but I have had to do this 4/5 times in the last hour Is this terminal? Seems outrageous for a 4 year old MacBook! |

Macbooks don't last any longer than any other laptop. When your macbook gets 5 year old apple don't stock the components so if you can find out what is wrong with it you will need to source the parts yourself. My son bought the most expensive macbook with all the graphics for work and when he went to apple this is what they told him. He ended up paying £2500 for a new one. Apple are good products but in our experience don't last any longer than windows. Really hope you get it sorted.
