Mobile VH total farce!

I posted a while back about Virgin messing up my plane seats. Basically they cancelled my son's flight then didn't have any allocation left until VA released the full flight. I was a good little customer and waiting patiently until they could sort it out. Basically they didn't sort it properly and after going backwards and forwards many times it is now pretty much sorted. As "goodwill" they have taken off the cost of my son's flight and given us V Room for free... But may son's flight was already included in the cost and when they rebooked it my holiday cost went up so all they have done is reduce it back to the original price, a V Room was already given free at the point of booking!

I have said I want a manager to call me by the end of the day today but not sure what I should do next, go in to store? Take to Twitter? Really unimpressed with the service from VH so far! Haha

I am pleased you have the issue sorted. This is the initial objective.

I would email VH and set out the reasons for your dis-satisfaction and give them time to reply, state that in your email. Tell them the minimum compensation you expect given the circumstances.

If they fail to reply, or the compensation is below your expectations, you then go public.

So long as sorted now i would just move on. Theres not really much they can give you. Personally im not one fkr pushing for compensation for mistakes when itcis rectified to what you wanted. If it wasnt rectified satisfactorily then thats different.

Yes it wasn't rectified satisfactorily. I did ask for reasonable goodwill but nothing yet. I have asked them to call me by 5pm tonight to sort it out. So I will see if they do and then call into the store to give them another chance I think. Just so frustrating the amount of time and stress caused by their error.

If the problem has been rectified and you have now got what you originally booked and paid for I would have to agree with the other Dibbers who recommend just moving on.

You mention about being stressed, but you appear to be prolonging this by looking for something in addition.

Other than an apology from VH I am not sure what else you would be entitled to.

Thank you for all your opinions and putting things into perspective. I suppose I am frustrated at the incompetency and the effort I have had to go to to get things fixed. Once you get drawn into something it's difficult to see the bigger picture sometimes! I will probably call into the store tonight as I am passing anyways and have said that I will do in my email. But you are right, there's no harm done (apart from a grumpy me!) and in reality I have got much better things to think about. Thanks everyone x

Just gotta try to roll with the punches, i'm mixed up in the POR October/November 2019 debacle right now and all I want is an answer, if I get POR i'll be ecstatic, if i get CBR yes i'll be upset but it's still disney, i'm aiming not to spend a lot of time at the resort itself so yes VH have messed us about and yes i'll want something more than a pirate room (urgh!) but i'm not going to scream and shout and get more wound up. It's our holiday after all!

They called me and offered a refund on some of the seat booking fees. I said thank you and drew a line under the episode. A few extra quid to spend whilst I'm there 😊
