Check in at Manchester
Just a quick one we are flying on a Sunday in October and rather than use the V lounge I've booked breakfast at the Marriot as we are stopping there the night before. We normally are the 3 hours before we fly type people for checking in but our flight is at 10:05am and they don't start breakfast until 7am. I have the meet and great parking booked so I think we should be ok but I just wanted to double check that we will be ok with say 2hrs before we fly for checking in.

Two hours should be fine - we did this for our trip in September 2017 (more due to traffic than anything else) and it was actually more enjoyable as by the time we'd checked in, gone through security and had a bite to eat, it was time to board.
That being said, we'll still aim to get there for 3 hours before next time, but more in case of traffic (we fly on a Monday) rather than it's required to check in that early.

When we were in this situation, we headed to the airport 4 hours before and arrived as check-in opened. We parked the car, checked in for the flight and then phoned the hotel shuttle to collect us from the airport, went back and had breakfast and a quick clean up in the room, checked out of the room and got the shuttle back and headed straight for security. Sounds like a lot of messing about but it really wasn't - the hotel was less than 10 minutes away and the shuttle was really prompt. Considering this again for our trip in October too as we are also on the 10:05 flight on 5th October

I’d book fast track passes for security if I was you , just to be on the safe side but apart from that I’d say yeah it’ll be fine !

Came through Manchester T2 last friday for the 10.05 flight. We were surprised how quiet it was. Checked in at 8.15 (hand luggage only). We were sat in the lounge by 8.25. Luck of the draw most of the time. It has taken us 45 mins before to get through security.
