Davenport is a "generic" name for a very large area usually along the 27 from the 192 down to Posner. Also across to Championsgate.
Can you be more specific with the community? If you're north than Cagan Crossings. If well south maybe even Haines City. If Championsgate maybe the new one at the top of North Old Lake Wilson Road. No keyboard warriors please.  EDITED Michelle give a 72 year old a bit longer to type please.  Mick

I'd like to know this to please we are off to Davenport to. Just off the Ronald Reagan parkway be interested to know if there is one near on the way from Orlando airport. Just so we can stop and get some essentials before we get to the villa. Also any advice on eateries/food places that are recommended

The other 2 responses are quite correct about the size of Davenport.
The easiest way to find the nearest Walmart, or indeed nearest anything else to any address, is to go to GoogleMaps, find your address, then type 'Walmart' or whatever you are looking for in the search box. You will get pop-up markers showing you where they all are. You can then work out the route of how to get there. Alternatively, go to the Walmart web site and use the 'Find a Store' option. Just typing in the zip code will work, but note that the 2 locations at 'N Ridge Trail' at J55 on the I-4 are distribution centres not stores. |

We usually stay at Highlands Reserve and the closest Walmart is just north of the 192/US27 connection. There is also now a new one on the 192 further down towards Disney.

WestHaven where our villa is located is just off Ronald Regan Parkway, I tend to get essentials on our first night from Publix which is at Championsgate just as you get off the I4. DH stays in the car and I just pop in quickly and get what we need. However, last time we went out in April the I4 was blocked up ( Late Friday afternoon) so we took a short cut through Disney and came out by Animal Kingdom so it was easy to go into the new Walmart at Old Lake Wilson Road.

The Walmart we used last time was on the 192. We were staying on country creek estates. So it was top of the road. Is the new one further past the old town heading towards Davenport?

 Yes the new one is west of I-4 and World Drive at the top of North Old Lake Wilson Road near its junction with the 192. Mick
