Last year we arrived at villa, straight in pool and ordered a takeaway to be delivered, next morning up early out for breakfast then Walmart. This year we are flying into Miami staying there for one night then driving straight to villa, will drop the stuff off then out to Walmart

First two trips stopped on way to villa for essentials (pubix for us too 😂 wonder if the locals call it that! ) But last two times I had planned to go to villa, get take out and do walmart at the silly o clock wake up call, but we had the energy to go and do the big shop after unpacking! We didn't get to bed till gone midnight, but had clearly gone through the pain barrier as we were definitely on second wind and were all up at a usual time(as in "normal" wake up for school/work) the next day and fit for the parks. I survive on very lite sleep anyway, but my dh sleeps for England, but he was fine too. Must be the Florida effect...

Just the same as most really and nothing unusual.
Going back to Highgate for around the 12th time in November and we always head there first to unpack with a decent coffee that we take with us (yes declared ). Then Publix at Berry for essentials and some meat and salad stuff for dinner. Until about 7 or 8 years ago we did try for a Longhorn dinner on the first night but it was a waste of time. 7pm local is midnight body clock time and we never eat that late at home so, at our age, much easier to graze at the villa. Joan reckons that the Publix at Summer Bay (where you are heading) is more spacious than the one at BTC. We usually call at the SB one on a Sunday morning to buy a Sentinel. One of our holiday traditions is coffee under the lanai reading the Sentinel and sorting all the coupons. Mick

depends what time we land and how long immigration is.
If at villa by 5 we go villa first, then walmart/target (whatever one we fancy)for the bare essentials, then wendys, villa, pool. Last year we were slightly later so grabbed the wendys on the way in, ate, pool for an hour then unpacked while the kids were in bed. We always do our big shop after our first morning at magic kingdom. |

Villa, unpack, check essentials, out to Publix for basics shop ( this helps keep us awake!). We used to then eat out but now usually pick up hot chicken, salad, pizza etc. to eat in. Bed at normal time.
