Feeling a bit emotional
Yesterday was my DD’s last proper day of school (apart from exams)and it hit me really hard, I totally wasn’t expecting it.
I’ll admit is secretly shed a few tears before anyone woke up yesterday, which is the first time I’ve cried since the kids were born. I keep getting upset just thinking about when she was a little girl and totally dependant on us and now she is so independent and grown up. It feels like the end of an era and sometimes I wish I could rewind to when she was 3-4 and didn’t have a teenagers attitude 😂 Not really sure my post has a point but just wanted to tell someone just to get it out of my system. |

No matter what age your daughter is, she is and always will be your special little girl, you are entitled to tear up and feel emotional. Nothing wrong with that Big Donald.

Totally get it, in the same position, ds last day at today.
I have been thinking if I can get him to do the obligatory photo in front of the door this morning! Not sure he will agree. I have had a morning of reflection, I can not quite believe I had a child old enough to leave school, wish time didn't go so quickly |

I get this been there done that once with my eldest who turns 21 this year... but whilst your reflecting on how she’s grown reflect on how far she’s come and what a good job you’ve done.
My youngest leaves junior school this year to go to the big wide world of secondary school... she has autism and has flourished at her current school there will be lots of tears when she leaves, Lilly, us parents and teachers I expect Good luck to her going forward |

Aww, it's understandable, it's a big thing!
Our nephew finished yesterday and that felt emotional! DD finishes next year and I know I will find it hard!

I know how you feel, my youngest finishes 6th form today. They go to school on their last day in their primary school uniform so it feels very strange. End of an era but onwards to the next one x

Yup know just how you feel.
Our eldest has his last uni exam next Tuesday and then that’s it ... no more education ... out to work as an independent adult. Of course he’ll still be living at home for the next couple of years so not totally free yet 😂😂😂
