Salem whilst in Boston?

Has anyone been here? Recommendations of things you did would be great!

I've been but it was probably 25 years ago and it was around Halloween time so we went to the witch museum and saw the witch trials I'm sure these things are still there and probably open year round

We did this a few years back. We went to Salem on the ferry from Boston and got the train back. We did all the witch stuff and saw the statue of Elizabeth Montgomery, who was Samantha from Bewitched. Good day out, especially as it was early October and the pumpkins etc were coming out.

The ghost tour is fun! A walking tour of supposedly haunted areas.

We did it last year, we did the trolley tour, we did the museum & dungeon show, it was terribly disappointing, and Salem had always been on my bucket list, we actually found the Salem shipping history a bit more interesting, I love Boston but don’t think I’d rush back to Salem, not an awful lot to look at factually wise,

Totally agree re Salem. We went the week before Halloween, 2016. We really enjoyed walking about the town, cemetery and visiting the house of the Seven Gables, and Nathaniel Hawthorn's house (.Scarlet Letter), but the shops, cafes etc, were all just too tacky. Getting followed down the street by Michael Myers was funny though. The actual witch trials were in Danvers, which is about 3 - 4 miles away. We loved Boston, we especially loved going whale watching trip and walking the Freedom Trail.
